which is a fluid applied barrier membrane with no breaches or holes to allow moisture penetration., unlike sheet products that have exposed edges and are commonly installed incorrectly using nails or staples leaving a breach at every penetration.  StoGuard®, is a fluid applied barrier membrane used to protect wood or gypsum based sheathings, cmu, sheathing joints, rough openings and transitions.

Why are moisture barriers important for your project?

Moisture barriers in walls protect against the transfer of incidental water into the building. They shield moisture-sensitive components, such as wood or gypsum-based sheathings, during construction and in the event of a breach in the outer wall covering, such as a crack in stucco. StoGuard® is a moisture barrier that keeps damaging liquid water from penetrating and saturating the sheathing.

StoGuard® is a fluid applied air and moisture barrier that:

• Is a commercial grade membrane that seals and protects your building

• Helps prevent up to 40% energy loss according to the Department of Energy

• Protects sheathing and CMU

• Is used behind EIFS, stucco, brick, vinyl, cement board, siding and metal panels

• Meets requirements of the Air Barrier Association of America and is included in their specifications.
